Settling in a bit more

Well, one bit of good news is that the animals seem to be adjusting much more easily than I am... Theo loves his many windows, and Lishka loves all the sniffing opportunities. She loves walking around the park, jumping on the people, etc. Yesterday I took her for her first trip to the ocean. We went to the only beach I knew how to find (since I had been there before). See it in the link below:

As predicted, Lishka was afraid of the water, running to the edge and then backing up at warp speed when the foam approached us. She did not think it was at all fair that the other dogs could run around without their leashes while she had to be tethered to her mom. I explained that she had to temper her wanderlust and lightning escape speed before she could play like the other dogs.
I forgot it was Labor Day, however, and the beach was full of jolly bbqers and parties. Hard to navigate through the maze of people and merriment, but we managed. Went home and I was able to unpack many of my boxes. Updated pictures to follow soon...

Very cute picture of the pets! And that is a really cool beach, too--it looks kind of cozy and small from the pictures. Maybe it isn't in real life. I can't imagine having a beach in my neighborhood. Send me an email and tell me what blogging-response protocol is. I feel like I might be doing it wrong. Can the whole world read this? ALO
