Blogging for the first time

Well, here I am joining the ranks of the bloggers. Wanted to be able to share some of the images, etc. from my new life. One week to the hour I've been here. After a week of serious home improvement with my mother, I'm doing a bit of work for my advisor and planning to explore the area a bit before school starts in a few weeks. This picture is an old one, but it's the view from the library on campus. The Santa Barbara weather has not lived up to its reputation this past week--lots of clouds, fog, and cool weather. Finally today has been mostly sunny and lovely, and I'm indoors. However, I've planted myself by a window in the Coffee Cat, my new second home with free WiFi. More pics and info to follow...
